Your Typical Catch-up Post...

Wow, it's been a while since I've blogged! Bad me, eh?

Been busy, though. Partly letting my brain recover from getting those very last line edits done on Seeking Unseen before the publisher sent them off to the printer! It's officially listed on Amazon already, but for some reason they're saying 2 to 3 weeks to ship for the print version. No idea why. The Kindle version, of course, can be downloaded right now.

Barnes & Noble is always slower on the uptake and for some reason has neither print nor Nook listed yet. Sigh. If you're a Smashwords kind of person, though, you can find all the ebook versions ready for download. Yeah, I know, I like actual Kindle and Nook better, but there you have it.

As for what I've been doing since all that came out...

We put in a pool a few weeks ago (and when I say "we" I mean "we"--my husband is a DIY guy to the bone) and have since been working on the back yard, putting sod back and laying some concrete and working on flower beds.... My back is never going to forgive me!

Me, Grace, and Ryan Grabow (who graciously dropped
Grace off on his way back from DragonCon)
And this week, I'm hosting Grace Bridges, the Space Kiwi, at my house. It's been a pretty mellow visit so far--she's been on the run a lot thus far on her American tour and so we're taking it slow this week. She will, however, be helping out tomorrow at my creative writing class (did I tell you I'm teaching creative writing to a group of homeschool teens?), and then Saturday she's accompanying me to my talk at Bloomingdale Library (if you're a local, you're welcome to come).

We did manage to squeeze in a little shopping already, though. And Grace cooked us an awesome Indian dinner last night. Those of you who are on the tour and awaiting her arrival, start working up your taste buds because she's a great cook!

Anyway, that's about as hefty a post as I can handle this morning. Till next time...

Man, you've been seriously busy! I'll bet it's nice to live in your body for a while instead of in your head (quoted from Mitford for truth). Laying sod and putting in your own pool? Dang, I'd let blogging slip by the wayside, too. :-D

Well, I can't take much credit for the pool--that was almost entirely Jeff and his dad--although I did help *one* night :). But I AM taking credit for the sod. I worked my tail off on that!

I really like the cover to Seeking Unseen, Kat. Very eye-catching and clean (read easy on the eyes).
