The Secret of Blacktree Bridge

The superstitious residents want Amelia's dad out of Blacktree Crossing. The resort he plans to develop on the other side of the deep ravine that borders their small town can only be accessed if he builds a new bridge—which they say will disturb Jasper, who haunts the existing bridge nearby. They're crazy, of course, believing in ghosts.
Amelia's curiosity gets the best of her, and she sneaks off to the ancient bridge to check things out herself. She touches the wood—and the visions begin. Visions that show exactly what Jasper did over a hundred years ago, and why the townsfolk got angry enough to hang him from the very bridge he’d built.
Fortunately, Amelia meets the only person in Blacktree Crossing with whom she can share these experiences. Corinne believes Amelia's stories, but hides why she’s so interested in Jasper and his bridge. Then Amelia stumbles across Corinne’s secret and understands the woman’s need for Jasper's particular services.
There's one problem: Daddy has gone back on his promise to leave the old bridge alone. Now Amelia has to stop him from blowing it up and taking away not only Jasper, but Corinne's only chance.
